FAQs
-
Our Fly Racks are built from 5052 aluminum, and our Ranger Pedalboard is made from 6061 aluminum. Both are marine and aerospace grade alloys chosen for their high strength-to-weight ratio, rigidity, and natural resistance to corrosion and fatigue. They keep weight low, while staying strong under vibration and impact.
5052 aluminum is excellent for formability and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for the precision-formed panels in our fly-racks. 6061 aluminum offers greater stiffness and load-bearing strength, making it perfect for the flat, structural design of the Ranger Pedalboard.
Every part is anodized to harden and seal the surface against wear. This process converts the outer layer of aluminum into a thin ceramic oxide, creating a matte finish that is scratch and corrosion-resistant.

Everyone’s needs are different, so we offer a few case options to match how and where you travel. Each option provides reliable protection, but the difference comes down to weight, durability, and budget.
Pelican Vault V525: A more accessible option that still protects your gear. Perfect for local travel or light touring where cost and practicality matter most.
Pelican Air 1535: Our premium option. Lightweight, professional-grade, and designed for frequent flyers and touring techs who want maximum protection without extra bulk.
Nanuk 935: World-class protection and Canadian-made, this case option is only available with the Ranger pedalboard due to sizing dimensions.
No matter which case you choose, you’ll get the same precision-built system inside.

All custom builds are final sale, as each one is made specifically for your setup. We inspect every system before delivery, but if a manufacturing defect is found within 30 days, we’ll repair or replace the affected parts as needed.
Stock fly-racks (not part of a system) can be returned or exchanged within 15 days of delivery, as long as they are unused and in original condition.
In any case, if you run into an issue with your system, contact us and we’ll do our best to make it right as fast as possible.

For bulk orders or to discuss partnership opportunities, contact us sales@eightscreative.com and we will get back to you with details and lead times.

Starting January 2026, all of our carry-on-sized custom builds will utilize our in-house Expedition Series enclosures. This allows us to maintain tighter quality control, faster turnaround times, and consistency across every system we build.
You are still welcome to bring your own case for integration or wiring, but we’ll no longer be sourcing third-party enclosures for new builds. All new carry-on systems will proudly use the same hardware seen here on our site.
-
If any defectives are found within 30 days, please let us know immediately and we’ll replace the part or fix the system as quickly as possible.
Beyond the 30 days, we recommend regular servicing and testing. We suggest once a year for low-use systems, and every 6 months for high use systems.
Please contact us if you would like to service or repair your system, and we can schedule an appointment in-house or recommend you to a preferred partner in your region.
